APRA Overseas Jingle Reporting Form

Use this form to report jingles that you have written for:

  • use in countries other than Australia and New Zealand
  • overseas commercial radio and television stations

DO NOT use this form for:

  • jingles broadcast in Australia and New Zealand (there is a seperate Jingle Reporting Form for this purpose)
  • station IDs (use local index cards or on-line registrations instead)
  • jingles or community service announcements on SBS, ABC or community radio (use local index cards or on-line registrations instead)
  • jingles used in cinemas or on Pay TV
  • music other than jingles (use local index cards or on-line registrations to register all other types of music)

Lodge your jingle claims as soon as possible after an overseas performance

!!!IMPORTANT!!!– Please read before submitting your claim.

  • Many overseas societies do not pay jingles (Click Here For List) whilst those that do often require very specific information. These details can range from the first air date of the advertisement through to date of each broadcast, the program that was airing at the time and/or the key number allocated to the jingle. Please be aware that if your jingle has been broadcast in one of these territories you will be contacted by a writer services representative with a request for the required information. These details are mandatory and without them we are unable to process your claim.
  • APRA has now negotiated an agreement with JASRAC to allow APRA composer members to compete with Japanese songwriters on the same terms. If you are offered a TV advertisement in Japan, please get in touch with your member services representative to organise the correct forms – this must be done before the advertisement is released.
