The 2008 APRA Music Awards cap off a remarkable year for Silverchair's DANIEL JOHNS who scored the big trifecta at the Australian songwriter's night of nights. In what has become Australia's most prestigious peer voted award, Straight Lines, a song that was written by JOHNS (with Julian Hamilton from The Presets) and performed by SILVERCHAIR, was named the APRA SONG OF THE YEAR.
